What you'll do

As a Principal UX Designer you will be part of our multi-disciplinary design team that includes other user experience designers, user researchers, content designers and user assistance.
In your day-to-day, you will:

• Define and lead the UX design strategies for onboarding and learning experiences, ensuring alignment with product goals and user needs
• Work closely with colleagues from development, product management, customers and partners to deliver engaging experiences for SAP PTX Data and Analytics products.
• Act as an advocate of the end users.
• Have a passion for problem solving and will always push for better, faster, simpler, more engaging solutions to complex business processes and technical challenges.
• Present design concepts and ideas clearly and persuasively to design leadership and executives, fostering collaboration and buy-in
• Continuously research and stay up-to-date on the latest UX design trends and technologies, influencing the future of user experience
• Be self-motivated and believe in teamwork and cross collaboration.
• Mentor and collaborate with junior designers and cross teams, fostering a strong design culture

You are able to work hybrid from our Vancouver office.

You bring extensive experience in UX/UI design, you possess a robust portfolio demonstrating your proficiency in creating impactful and user-friendly interfaces. Your deep understanding of design principles allows you to translate complex concepts into intuitive and engaging designs that enhance user comprehension and interaction. Strong leadership skills enable you to mentor and inspire junior designers, driving excellence in UX design within the team and organization. You excel in collaborating with stakeholders to understand user needs and business objectives, translating them into innovative and effective UX solutions. Your attention to detail ensures that every interaction aligns with usability standards and enhances the overall user experience.

• 10+ years of experience in design, with a strong focus in product design for enterprise software solutions
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
• Experience designing for a variety of user experiences including first-use or guided tours, demonstrating versatility and adaptability
• Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, user-centered design, and interaction design
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of creativity and attention to detail
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma)
• A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of design and elevate experiences to a new level
