Value Advisor/Value Engineering (VE) in partnership with regional sales, are responsible for the development of a business cases with quantified monetary benefits that help create a value-based strategy for technology sale and solution deployment. VE interacts and presents to SAP customers/prospects/partners. Value Advisor/Value Architects (VA) possess significant SAP solution road mapping and architecture knowledge and are responsible for building scalable programs to support customer engagements on a global basis by translating business strategy into IT strategy to enable our customers' best-run businesses to effectively manage end-to-end customer engagements.
Other key functional areas include:

  • Value Strategy and Business Planning: Development of the 3 to 5 year field strategy (called Game Plan) for the major regions and key growth markets. Game Plan includes an in-depth market context analysis, revenue projections based on interviews with major stakeholders and actionable recommendations for accelerating profitable revenue growth.
  • Value Delivery: Completing the value lifecycle from discovery (business case) to realization and optimization. Provides a range of services related to the value delivery (e.g. deployment strategy in concert with the ASAP methodology, benchmarking services).
  • Value Enablement: The standardization, sharing and training ( training delivery channels include Value Academy and Value University) on VE best practices across regions is critical to drive license revenue growth in every region. In addition, certifying and leveraging VE methodologies in other parts of SAP and with partners to enable scale of our value focused go-to-market approach. Value University and partner certification programs are key.
  • Value Networks: Showcase the value SAP's customer base generates from SAP solutions and make their own investment decisions easier to justify; develop solution-focused customer communities & networks, create value-oriented thought leadership, support strategic customers and deals, and enable the field with value based thought leadership and best practice sharing.
  • Value Infrastructure:
  • Benchmarking: This strategic program from VE
  • Executive Thought Leadership / Sales asset development: The team drives the creation of field facing thought leadership for executives.
  • Value Lifecycle Management: The Value Lifecycle Management (VLM) tool is an online platform that contains industry specific content for more than 30 industries and more than 50,000 best practices and typical customer pain points.

Experiance and Education Requirements

  • Experiance and Language Requirements
  • 5-8+ years of professional experience in Sales / Consulting / Sports, Enterainment and Public sector / LOB experience including min 3 years of strategy/management consulting experience with leading international firm or 3+ years of value advisory experience >
  • Advanced knowledge of value selling methodology. & processes, opportunities, value chain and ecosystem analyses experience
  • Experience with business case creation, analysis, and research
  • Customer facing experience including managing business and IT alignment, executive interview techniques, design and facilitation of executive workshops along with diverse perspectives and expectations
  • Experience in diverse technology landscape and process/technology integration topics
  • Experience with managing business and IT alignment
  • Large account management, account Engagement Design, and Facilitation.
  • Executive presence
  • SAP Industry/LoB and/or product line business development.
  • Experience building and retaining strong customer relationships
  • Experience leading engagements
  • Fluency in English, any other language an asset. Fluency in the language of local markets desirable Education > Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required, MBA or equivalent degree required from an accredited university preferred Board Area / LoB Specific Additional Information Shape
