As a Global Technical Support Engineer, your role will involve research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve PayPal merchant live technical and integration issues in an accurate and timely manner. You will be working directly with developers, merchants, and internal teams to provide technical support and consulting. This role demands leadership, adaptability, and strong


Your day to day

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working directly with developers, merchants, and our internal stakeholders & engineering teams to resolve post-integration issues.
  • You will assist to implements payment APIs and commerce products, conduct test scenarios, and communicate technical issues to PayPal merchants and internal departments.
  • You will be responsible for developing in-depth technical documents for distribution to PayPal merchants.

What do you need to bring-

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline
  • 1-2 years years of experience in web development in one or more of the following:  Java, JavaScript, C, C++, C#, VB.NET, PHP, or Python.
  • Experience in creating and troubleshooting web services, such as SOAP and REST
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, RESTful services & Front-end knowledge.
  • Ability to analyse complex technical problems, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to PayPal merchants.

Nice to have:

  • How to call API and client-servercommunication.
  • Browser’s troubleshooting skills using browser’s developer tools.
  • Work cross-functionally with merchants & other internal stakeholders, & engineering teams.
