The Credit Portfolio Associate Analyst II is an entry-level position responsible for participating in a variety of portfolio monitoring activities to identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in managing Citi's portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties globally.Responsibilities:

  • Uses judgement and commercial underwriting skills to analyze and assess requests primarily for small to medium dealer / merchants for Dealer Private label credit card portfolio.
  • Conducts judgmental credit & AML reviews of existing dealers queued by dealer monitoring system and completes AML periodic reviews on higher risk dealers per policy or with a material change event.
  • Ensures adherence to company and third-party credit policies, AML procedures and department goals and standards.
  • Identifies and escalates credit policy opportunities through system testing and procedural reviews and performs efficiently while maintaining quality.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of issues and offers appropriate options to bring to resolution.
  • Provides on-going, reliable input to management relevant to operational problems, issues, risks, and other matters.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience in commercial underwriting
  • Experience in financial analysis, accounting and valuation
  • Knowledge of accounting and credit analytics, risk assessment, and transaction execution
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Ability to read and interpret Commercial Credit bureaus to analyze trade experience and use external financial resources to underwrite dealer requests.
  • Demonstrated Consumer or Commercial Underwriting skills.
  • Proven ability to work under limited supervision and in a team
  • Demonstrated accountability, self-motivation and business acumen

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
