Key job responsibilities
• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring to market innovative products and services
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use
• Ability to design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high quality softwareA day in the life
You will be collaborating with Applied Scientists, Product Managers and Engineers to develop enablers to scale Rufus to launch new features faster,You will be part of team driving standardization and collaboration, streamlining and risk reduction, and deeper optimizations across workflows that together are force multipliers for initiatives powered by Rufus.About the team

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
