Role Description
This role is based in Amsterdam
The Offer Service is a key enabler of Booking’s Connected Trip vision. It takes away the complexity of having to integrate with downstream services such as pricing, availability and policies to name a few. The Offer Service provides a universal, consistent and easy to use entry point into a set of hard to understand and very domain specific service. The Offer Service will become the entry point for new Connected Trips applications which will make it easy to purchase all trip components (flights, accommodation, cars, attractions, etc.) in a single intuitive flow.
This is a Platform role. The Offer Service will be used by other teams at Booking, who in turn will use it to expose functionality to end users.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
First class stakeholder management. Your ability to be successful in this role will largely be determined by you getting upstream and downstream teams to work together with the Offer Service team.
Conduct discovery on conceptually complex and messy domains. You will need to have a high degree of comfort with ambiguity.
Listen actively and compromise; but have enough product sense to not create a compromised product.
Communicate clearly both in writing and verbally. You should speak in terms of value and outcomes.
Role Qualifications and Requirements
Extensive experience of working as a Technical Product Manager
You enjoy working in and are experienced in highly complex domains.
Technical proficiency. Experience with APIs and Service Oriented Architecture are a plus.
Experience working with Agile Software development techniques.
Proven stakeholder management skills.
