This position is responsible for financial management of Research and Development, Sustaining Medical and Patient Management Device projects and Capital across a broad product and market portfolio which requires an understanding of the rhythm management products, R&D Program/Project Management, investment and resource management, and financial decision support and reporting to cross-functional partners and finance leadership
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop detailed financial forecasts for a broad portfolio of medical device products, including pulse generators, leads, systems and monitors across the Cardiac Rhythm Management (pacemakers and defibrillators) and Diagnostics (implantable and ambulatory electrocardiograph monitoring) franchises incorporating historic, trended and current business information.
- Responsible for Research and Development project financial reporting/forecasting across Development, Quality, Regulatory and Clinical functions
- Prepare and distribute financial reports, packages and presentations by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance.
- Represent finance on key new product development projects
- Partner with the Cardiac Rhythm Management and Diagnostics business unit and Finance peers and leadership in Strat Plan & AOP planning, providing insight and financial reporting
- Create, validate, and maintain financial models, including project NPVs with sensitivity analysis for phase reviews, wave charts to review R&D forecasts over the five-year Strategic Plan, and capital expenditures with comparison to prior cycles and baselines
- Support business partners through active involvement in cost center management across multiple functions, entities and projects
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with minimum of 5 years relevant FP&A experience
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment autonomously while adhering to deadlines and having attention to detail
- Hybrid role based in Arden Hills, MN; Ability to be in the office 3 days per week for business partnering and to drive key review meetings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills which provide the ability to establish and build working relationships with individuals throughout the organization. Highly developed customer relationship skills with strong service orientation
- Excellent computer skills (financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred qualifications:
- Higher education (MBA or CPA)
- Project management experience
- Hyperion Financial Management / SmartView and SAP experience a plus
- Tableau reporting experience
