Description
- Design camera module structures in CAD. - Design injection molded, sheet metal, PCB, and other component parts.- Author detailed 2D manufacturing and inspection drawings. - Perform rigorous tolerance analysis of module designs and component parts. - Interface with component part and camera manufacturing partners on design manufacturability and resolution of mechanical issues. - Author clear documentation on mechanical inspection and test requirements. - Direct FEA engineers on evaluation of camera designs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S and prior relevant industry experience in mechanical design
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in CAD 3D modeling and 2D drafting, NX a plus.
  • Expertise in plastic injection molding, sheet metal design, and material surface treatment.
  • Strong foundation in mechanical design principles, material knowledge and FEA.
  • Proficient in conducting tolerance analysis for highly complex and precision mechanical structures.
  • Proven track record in transitioning designs into mass production, ensuring rigorous quality control and reliability standards.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
