What you need to know about the role:

In your day to day you will:

• Partner with cross-functional teams (design system, engineering, and product management) to deliver PayPal products and services using a customer-focused, iterative design process, contributing to planning, estimation, and expectation setting.
• Create high-quality design deliverables independently, managing work to meet product design goals and schedules.
• Leverage and enhance established design techniques, tools, and methodologies to create product design analyses and solutions, while also contributing to the adaptation and optimization of these resources.
• Fosters collaboration, drives design team excellence and may lead or mentor other designers.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on user experiences, working closely with the team to craft user-centric solutions that integrate design and engineering effectively, prioritizing beauty and usability.

What do you need to bring:

• 10+ years of design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise.
• Proficiency in core design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and expertise in design tools such as Figma.
• Demonstrated experience in motion design and visual storytelling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept to launch.
• A strong commitment to creating aesthetically pleasing, user-centric designs that prioritize usability and accessibility.
• Possesses a strong attention to detail and a drive for excellence in design.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team-focused environment.
