What You'll Do
- Lead the design process for Cisco edge computing solutions managed with Cisco Intersight.
- Develop and execute innovative design strategies that align with product and business goals.
- Build wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with technical constraints.
- Engage product partners to gather vital inputs for product strategy and roadmap, manage expectations, and address dependencies.
- Understand customer usage patterns, identify gains and pains, and investigate reasons for low usage.
- Maintain a deep understanding of Cisco Intersight capabilities and edge computing trends to advise design decisions.
- Advocate for user-centric design principles and standard processes across the organization.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the design team.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and competitor activities to guide product strategy and drive innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
- Hands-on experience using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Prior experience with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience crafting solutions for edge computing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working within the tech industry, specifically with edge computing solutions.
- Knowledge of Cisco's product ecosystem and solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- A passion for continuous optimization and improvement, with a strong focus on customer experience.
- Proven success in influencing peers across product management and cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed, global organization.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
