On this team, we investigate and collaborate with internal and external partners to define the display module specs for new iPhone projects. You will own an internal, multi-functional team across optical, EE, ME, process and panel design experts. You will also lead collaboration with suppliers as the primary technical contact window.This person will ensure display goals are met for engineering builds and initial mass production while addressing issues from initial ramp and field returns related to displays and qualification of solutions. International travel is required for this position.
- BS in Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar, and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.
- Technical experience in a subset of the following fields: optical design and characterization, optical and/or human visual physics, semiconductor optoelectronics, display technologies, optical sensor technologies, circuits.
- Experience in benchtop and industry standard optical measurement systems (characterization, test, and validation).
- Experience with programming languages used for data acquisition (Python, LabVIEW), statistical analysis (JMP, MATLAB) and/or optical simulation tools (LightTools).
- MS or PhD.
- Experience with failure analysis connecting optical device performance to process outcomes.
- Excellent project management, communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge and experience in display specific optics.
- Experience with module engineering and mass production procedures.
