As a Professional Loan Documentation Associate within the Credit Loan Documentation Preparation team, you will be responsible for understanding the structure, terms, and nuances of Professional Loan Program borrower requests. You will ensure that all pre-existing conditions and controls are met and prepare accurate legal documentation in accordance with approved terms. Your work is crucial in protecting the bank from regulatory and credit risks, and you will collaborate closely with internal teams to achieve this goal. Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and understand borrowers' credit requests, including structure, terms, and supports.
  • Ensure client reference data is accurate in corporate systems to support credit requests.
  • Review and comprehend agreement terms following analysis and credit approval.
  • Verify completion of all loan conditions and due diligence.
  • Prepare legal documentation closing packages in line with legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Progress quickly to understand and manage more complex transactions.
  • Partner closely with internal operations teams, Underwriters/Credit, Compliance, Legal, and PLP Lending/Sales teams.
  • Develop proficiency in assisting with secondary peer reviews and training.
  • Identify trends and gaps within existing processes, and proactively recommend tactical and strategic solutions to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Provide ad hoc support to management by assisting with a variety of tasks and activities as needed, ensuring timely and effective resolution of emerging business needs

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Three years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, especially with business partners.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills across various organizational levels.
  • Ability to review processes and recommend improvements.
  • Possess a strong understanding of controls and their importance in maintaining an error-free environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving and data analysis skills.
  • Maintain attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Possess a solid understanding of legal loan documentation and closing activities within the credit lifecycle.

  • Bachelor degree or relevant credit experience
