Description
You will be developing and validating optical sensors. You will be expected to Analyze data to draw conclusions, enhance product design/manufacturability, and drive failure analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering and Process Engineering to deliver state-of-the-art sensing solutions. Product simulation and data analysis using a variety of software tools to support engineering validation and characterization, such as Matlab, Python, JMP, etc.Failure mode analysis, root-cause diagnosis, and system-level problem solving.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong background in optical design
  • Experience with optical lab equipment (microscopes, spectrometers, detector, etc.) and experiments.
  • Basic knowledge in Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Up to 10% travel required
  • BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant proven experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Optical simulation experience is a plus
  • Experience supporting volume manufacturing is a plus, such as failure analysis, statistics, etc.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
