In this role, you will aid in enabling the smooth production and rapid release of Red Hat software and significantly contribute to the business strategy of market

leadership in hybrid cloud technologies.

As an engineer on this effort ,you will be expected to work in an Agile environment to help keep our products and services modern and up to the task of building and shipping the latest Red Hat technologies.

What You'll Do

• Participate on a scrum team

• Learn and understand the technologies involved

• Complete tasks on a given timeline

• Communicate progress

• Participate in demos at the end of each sprint

• Design technical solutions to abstract problems

• Coordinate with team leads, architects, and other engineers to design solutions

• Ensure test plans for the code you create exist and that documentation is correct

• Design and review automated test plans

• Quickly respond to security threats

• Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment

What You'll Bring

• Good understanding of Linux operating system

• Ability to code and learn new programming languages

• Familiarity with containers

• Experience with Python/Go programming language

• Experience with Continuous Integration / Delivery

• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to directly interact with other teams

• Ability to provide and accept constructive feedback that directly impacts our business goals

• Ability to help define, follow and enforce processes

• Ability to work under pressure - for example fixing issues during product release

• Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift

• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, GitLab

• Ability to present to customers and stakeholders

• Understanding of how Open Source and Free Software communities work

• Ability to debug issues across multiple software layers

• Experience with code-reviews
