Engineer II, S/W)

Develop new development/manufacturing/test software used in the development and production of medical devices. Independently or as a member of a team directs, develops, concepts, and executes specifications, designs, plans and builds of complex manufacturing and test equipment's software. May interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Requires knowledge of real-time operating systems and software. Work often involves knowledge of modeling and simulation software. May interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. May include software tools, utilities, databases and internet-related tools, etc. Position requires knowledge of hardware compatibility and/or hardware design.

Key Responsabilities

  • Leads or participates on project teams to develop clear specifications, evaluates feasibility of concepts, and provides formal estimates for electrical/software designs.
  • Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, tests software programs by using current programming languages, methodologies and technologies.
  • Develop machine control software and integrate this software with controllers, motion controllers, vision systems, and other instrumentation.
  • Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of critical scope and complexity.
  • Documents software development and/or test development by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards.
  • Complete project deliverables and monitor project schedule and scope changes to assure team can meet delivery requirements.
  • Provides leadership role on championing functional best practices.
  • Influences and defines functional, departmental and divisional procedures through involvement with cross-functional engineering initiatives.
  • Directs support personnel and project activities.
  • Mentors Engineers in software engineering activities/methodologies and domain knowledge.

Requirements:

B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering preferred, with 2+ years of related experience in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with business intelligence solutions, preferably using Power BI, including ETL-operations, report generation, and dashboard development. Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries for data extraction and transformation is required. The candidate should be capable of gathering business requirements, translating them into scalable BI solutions, and ensuring data accuracy and effective visualization to support cross-functional decision-making. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and full bilingual fluency in English and Spanish are essential. The individual must be comfortable working in a regulated environment and collaborating across teams to drive process improvements.

Maximum Salary: $ 99400

Compensation fornon-exempt (hourly), non-sales rolesmay also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
