Job Description

Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the firm’s recovery and resolution plans and related capabilities. The plans require development of central strategies to support timely and effective execution of various financial, legal and operational actions during periods of unprecedented stress. Development of the plans requires coordination with stakeholders across the organization, including technology, finance, treasury, operations and businesses, to ensure execution readiness. RRP sets the requirements for and reviews plan documentation to ensure that it meets regulatory guidelines and is fit for purpose to guide management and board throughout both the planning and execution phases. RRP is also responsible for identifying required capabilities necessary to support plan development and execution and for establishing the framework to support capabilities testing. Finally, RRP oversees and manages the governance process associated with plan approval and submission along with regulatory engagement for plan review and challenge.

This role will provide oversight to the development and execution of Citi’s RRP forecasting capabilities, coordinating with key partners across Treasury, Finance and the lines of business. The individual will be able to efficiently oversee forecast production across material legal entities leveraging Citi’s applications, systems and controls to support reliable results. The role requires senior leadership capabilities, coordinating with senior stakeholders providing subject matter expertise in capital, liquidity and balance sheet forecasting and analysis with the ability to develop and implement assumptions consistent with Citi’s recovery and resolution strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter knowledge on expectations and requirements for financial forecasting capabilities in a recovery and resolution event.
  • Provide guidance for and direction to the team with which they work to ensure deliverable completion.

  • Lead the development of balance sheet, income statement, and other
  • financial data
  • Provide review and challenge on forecasting assumptions, projection results, and utilization of methodologies and frameworks to estimate financial resource needs
  • Ensure data quality checks and data reconciliation to promote alignment with firm and regulatory requirements
  • Lead maintenance of forecasting capabilities for recovery and resolution scenario generation
  • Support continuous improvement of capability processes
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Develop and manage consistent Board and regulatory reporting across all RRP commitments
  • Manage portfolio management systems and adhere to Citi's Program management policy

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience
  • Subject matter expertise in corporate treasury, risk management, financial regulations, project management, or similar fields
  • Demonstrate a consistent track record having worked for delivering large, strategic cross-functional projects
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Compliance Management: Knowledge and experience in ensuring compliance with
  • Regulatory requirements as well as experience representing large financial institutions (preferably GSIBs)with regulatory bodies (e.g., OCC, FDIC, FRB, PRA, EBA, etc.)
  • Understanding of Regulatory Environment: Deep knowledge of financial regulations andrequirements, particularly those relating to recovery and resolution planning
  • Capital and Liquidity Management Knowledge: Should understand the complexities of capital and liquidity management
  • Advance Microsoft office skills; experience with developing Board and Executive Management team presentations
  • CFA, CAPM, PMP, and/or MBA are a plus
  • Leadership qualities with a passion for talent development and team building.

Education:

  • Masters degree in finance and Economics preferred
