The Data Scientist II will develop predictive models and implement custom Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to enhance security measures, optimize, and improve operational efficiency across global Engagement Security mechanisms.Key job responsibilities
* Design, develop, and evaluate innovative ML models to solve diverse obstacles and opportunities across business teams.
* Listen to security and business teams to identify viable ML opportunities to improve mechanisms and help develop plans from experiments to proof-of-concept to software product.
* Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate successful experiments into large-scale, highly complex production services.
* Rapidly design, prototype, and test many possible hypotheses in a high-ambiguity environment, making use of both quantitative and business judgment. Report results in a scientifically-oriented way.
* Collaborate with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) peers to research, design, develop, and evaluate cutting-edge generative AI algorithms to address real-world security and engagement delivery obstacles.* Support the development of security guidance on the use of AI/ML, particularly generative AI.A day in the lifeABOUT AWS:Diverse Experiences

- 3+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
- 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience
- 3+ years of data scientist or similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling and communication experience
- Experience developing experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, use of strong baselines, ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations
- Bachelor's degree
