As part of the industry cloud product team, you will work collaboratively with the wider product management team, marketing, engineering, analyst relations and ecosystem to expand our industry cloud offerings. Specifically, this will mean supporting the development and launch of new industry clouds; building out our industry cloud managed service solutions including where appropriate working with clients, resolving issues, automating pricing and billing and generally readying solutions for scaling; working with our fintech partners to evangelize IBM Cloud for FS and to support their on-boarding and nurturing including joint Go-To-Market and business development. We are seeking an experienced product manager with a background in cloud technology, fintech engagement and solution design. You will:

  • Support building of strategies for new industry cloud launches by analysing the market, determining geo and sector opportunities, creating plans for launch and supporting delivery of these launch plans including working with Sales teams to provide them with required enablement and collateral. In addition, setting growth targets and monitoring progress against these KPI’s and course correcting as needed.
  • Work with the industry solution product managers to drive the productizing of these solutions including business case development, billing and pricing mechanisms and automation, revenue reporting and tracking, understanding of product PnL. In addition, to identify market and client opportunities to grow these solutions working with our Consulting and SI partners.
  • Work with our ecosystem search partners to on-board and nurture high quality Fintechs. We have a program where we have engaged external partners to source Fintechs to join our Cloud. A key part of this role will be working with these Fintechs to ensure their journey with IBM Cloud is optimal. This means engaging with them at an early stage to build strong relationships, to resolve any on-boarding issues, identifying growth opportunities via Geo Sales leaders, Consulting and other partners and generally creating loyalty and value for IBM Cloud by expanding the ecosystem of innovative providers.
  • Collaboratively partner with product management, comms, marketing, analyst relations, engineering, finance, billing, ecosystem and other teams to deliver overall growth within IBM Industry clouds through growing the previous three areas by developing deep and trusted relationships.
  • Set quantitative business/technical metrics and success criteria for product requirements and track execution against, set roadmap progress towards achieving these.
  • Drive results: attack everything with drive and energy with an eye on both the bottom line and customer success.
  • Prioritize and negotiate requirements across stakeholder groups, making trade-offs between competing priorities and schedule.

Key outcome measures for this role are:

  • Contribute to the achievement of the overall revenue targets for the industry cloud and specifically for the industry solution components,
  • Meet the growth targets for the fintech ecosystem in terms of number on-boarded, revenue and NPS.
  • Achieve milestones and targets for new industry clouds planned for next 12 months.
  • Achieve process improvement and automation goals to fully productize the industry solutions.

  • Good customer facing skills and able to manage client expectations.
  • Able to build broad relationships and coalitions across the organization and to align different stakeholder to a common goal and vision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level business discussions and low-level technical discussions.
  • Understanding of cloud offering capabilities and security, compliance and regulatory landscape for IBM Cloud.
  • Practical knowledge of GTM strategy and working with marketing and sales.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Management or equivalent practical experience building or deploying products in a Cloud based software organization.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in the Cloud or IT industry preferably related to Platform, SaaS application software deployment or integrations.
  • Track record of high-quality, self-directed, timely execution, and attention to detail.
