Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and 8 years of industry equivalent experience.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including emails, preparing slide presentations, and presenting technical concepts to multi-disciplinary teams.
Works well in collaborative team atmospheres. Experience in driving challenging electromechanical architecture, managing trade-offs and design down-selection, and working within ID, weight, and manufacturing constraints.
Proficiency in 3D CAD (any modeling package), wide knowledge of basic engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
Experience in prototyping quick-turn, high fidelity mechanisms and concepts to enable architecture down-selects and data collection.
Working knowledge of FEA principles and how to leverage input for system convergence.
Experience collaborating with Asian manufacturing facilities, working through DFM challenges with external vendors, specifically in high-volume products.
Creative problem solving, with experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and DOE creation
Experience in developing or integrating high performance optical systems (displays, cameras, imaging sensors, etc)
Experience driving technical discussions with ID and/or cross-functional partners
Experience in designing for ergonomics and comfort
Experience with light-weighting designs
Proficiency in NX
