As a Cyber Security Design Expert (f/m/d) in the Defensive Architecture Design team within SAP Global Security and Cloud Compliance (SGSC), you will define security requirements, develop end-to-end security architectures, and contribute to securing SAP’s enterprise, products, and services. You will also support the Head of Defensive Architecture Design in strengthening SAP’s security posture.
In your role, you will:
• Serve as a trusted security advisor for SAP teams, focusing on IAM Security
• Provide expert guidance in IAM security topics
• Define security requirements, develop security standards, hardening guidelines, and reference architectures.
• Lead and coordinate security projects across SAP departments.
• Engage with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP and IBM) and vendors (Microsoft, Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.) to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Participate in conferences, security workshops, and advanced security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, etc.).
• Cloud certifications a plus such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Google Professional Cloud Architect

What you bring

We seek passionate cybersecurity experts who want to drive security in IAM.
• IAM Security
o 10+ years of experience in IAM or Information Security
o Strong architecture knowledge or implementation experience in privileged access management with solutions such as Delinea, Beyondtrust or Cyberark
o Strong architecture knowledge or implementation experience in identity governance solutions such as Sailpoint, EmpowerID, Okta or Ping
o Thorough understanding of authentication flows involving SAML, Oauth, openID connect and FIDO2 technologies
o Thorough understanding of implementation approaches to MFA.
o Expertise in modern authorization models such as RBAC and ABAC
o Expertise in hybrid identity store architectures involving Entra ID and Active Directory

Additional Security Expertise (Nice-to-Have, a Plus!)
• AI Security
o Expertise in AI threat modeling
o Knowledge of AI privacy risks, data protection, and GenAI security risks.
• Cryptography
o Deep understanding of key exchange, secure messaging, post-quantum cryptography, cryptographic protocols, and provable security.
o Experience with PKI, HSM, Certificates, and TLS is a plus.
• Cloud Security – AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM, SAP Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Network Security – IPv4, IPv6, VPN, WAF, IPS, Firewalls.
• Database Security – SAP HANA, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Data Loss Prevention – eDLP, CASB solutions.
• Cybersecurity Certifications – CCC, CISSP, CCSP, BSI, or equivalent.
