As a Infrastructure Engineer III within at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Broadcast Operations Employee Platforms Team, you role will be working with, and supporting the lead engineer, along with the deployment project managers, system design consultants and A/V Engineering team. In this role you will design and implement Audio Visual solutions within production standards and redundancy criteria. In this role you will be responsible to accept the building system into production. In addition, you will ensure training and certification of all technical operators prior to opening, and partner with senior event producers and technicians to ensure operational stability, event readiness and failsafe redundancy planning for all day-today operations.
Job responsibilities
- Provides 2nd line support for the Lead Broadcast Engineer and timely resolutions during major outages, and ensures all redundant paths are working and/or break glass solutions are deployed
- Provides proactive monitoring and system integrity checks pre-event and during events
- Provides development of EOL strategy, upgrade design path and integration plan inline with capital refresh cycle and a/v engineering strategy
- Works as a single point of contact for all network changes and patches, and partners with network engineers and a/v engineering on all outages and resolution
- Drives proactive monitoring of all critical systems
- Works with lead engineer and head of event production, head of virtual production and conference center operations manager(s) to ensure event readiness.
- Assist in developing, publishing and maintain comprehensive operational SOP documents
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Deep knowledge of deployment and/ or operational experience with SMPTE 2110 ( Audio, Video, Data Over IP )
- Experience with Media Analysis, Network Telemetry and Cyber Security tool
- Deep knowledge of advanced and practical broadcast and ProAV signal flows and processing
- Knowledge of spine and leaf network topology (Arista DCS-Series, CCS-Series, Media Control Service [MCS] & CloudVision), Core understanding of network protocols, network services and how they relate to a broadcast IP Media network
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Deep knowledge of Immersive Design Studio’s, CANVAS System. A live event experience media server system with Zoom integration, and deep knowledge of Broadcast Control Systems, notably EVS, Cerebrum software
- Deep knowledge of Ross video switching ecosystem. Ultrix Carbonite & xPression , and advanced knowledge of ProAV digital audio mixers, DSP’s. Q-Sys
- Deep knowledge with a/v & broadcast system design and integration, real estate / construction principles
- Deep knowledge of RF distributed technology and Shure Axient systems
