The position serves as a Manager or Senior Manager in the Digital Grid practice at EY Canada. You will be working in the digital grid domain to design and deliver /smart metering (AMI) programs. You will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of business solutions including benefit and cost analysis, process design, use case definition, business and functional requirements, and integrations with upstream and downstream systems. You also will be expected to provide business development assistance, as well as work with and lead small to large teams onshore and offshore.
Your key responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of engagements, including the definition of AMI business processes, business and functional requirements and use cases associated with AMI/smart metering
- Collaborate actively with subject-matter professionals, product owners, end users and client stakeholders
- Provide strategic insights and oversight for team members, anticipate client needs and be responsive to clients as part of engagement delivery; monitor service quality in respect of specific client requirements
- Successfully manage engagements to schedule and budget
- Stay up to date with industry trends, developments, technologies and new digital grid technology capabilities; actively share these with team members and apply to existing engagements.
- Model effective collaborative behaviors when working with individuals, teams, clients and technology partners
- Participate in new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions
- Assisting in proposals and commercial propositions that align with customer needs and differentiate EY from the competition

To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor's degree and 5 to 8+ years of AMI/Smart Metering experience through operations or delivering consulting services to Power and Utilities clients
- A solid understanding AMI-specific metering operations, business processes, use cases, business value and AMI vendor landscape
- Specialist AMI experience should cover working with a broad range of AMI and related systems and technologies including but not limited to AMI communications technologies, head end systems, meter data management systems
- The flexibility to expand horizons and gain competence in multiple digital grid domains
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to clearly communicate with leadership and colleagues about technical capabilities, limitations, issues and recommendations
- Be highly organized, detail-oriented, independent and resourceful
- The ability to manage complex technical projects with diverse global stakeholders
- The willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of a work schedule
Ideally, you'll also have
- A degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with stakeholder management, client handling, workshop facilitation with technical teams
