- Performing pipe stress activities as a member of taskforce under guidance provided by the leader and collaboration with multi-discipline designers. Verification of equipment layout and its impact on pipe stress analysis.
- Participation in design review and coordination, vendor documentation comment and risk assessment preparation.
- Prepares project specifications and procedures, critical line lists, mechanical and piping loading data, and engineering data sheets.
- Develop and review piping studies for flexibility and support of major critical lines in the early design stage.
- Performs pipe stress and vibration analysis using computer-aided engineering programs (Caesar II, and other software) and/or hand approximate method considering all code.
- Check the piping layout if all piping stress analysis requirements are met. Reviews all design information affecting other disciplines and/or Vendors if properly recorded and promptly transmitted.
- Reviews equipment vendor drawings for a support position, evaluate nozzle loadings, and coordinates any special requirements or clarifications.
- Prepare various engineering calculations such as maximum support span, maximum support loadings, and reinforcement requirement at branch connection, pad requirements, flange leakage, and others.
- Evaluate equipment and piping layout to optimize installation.
- Prepared piping support, MTO, layout and isometrics.
- Select special piping material components not covered by piping material specifications and prepare SP Item List.
- Prepare pipe wall (pressure and vacuum), spectacle blind, and other required material and component pressure-retaining thickness calculations.
- Responsible for leading pipe stress scope in small project with proper quality and according with good engineering practice and in line with codes and standards.
- Supporting team management and coordination: for design area or small project delivery: schedule, budget, and workflow preparation.
