- Provides effective legal support to Jacobs’ business by partnering with project teams to identify and manage legal and contractual risks to Jacobs during contract negotiations and project delivery
- Provides strategic legal advice on a wide range of matters to the business
- Reviews and negotiates of a variety of contracts (as well as industry standard forms including FIDIC, NEC etc.) ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal standards
- Actively supports contract negotiations with the objective to minimize risk exposure in line with internal policies and procedures
- Understands Jacobs’ approach to risk and is able to identify risks and seek input from other members of legal team and relevant stakeholders to ensure that concerns are duly addressed and mitigated
- Monitors evolving legislation and industry trends that may impact the business
- Maintains organized filing and documentation.
- Actively supports the development of the legal team knowledge management systems
- Develops and delivers training to the business to facilitate greater understanding in relation to contract provisions, risks and negotiations
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide legal insights that support strategic initiatives
