The successful individual will join the recently established IFRS - 9 team within the Finance CRO organization, operates with a dual mandate of:
- Execution & Analytics: Serve a key SME & primary point of contact to Legal Entity/Country CROs on IFRS - 9 related matters. Including Model execution, results analytics/explains & providing last mile support.
- Governance: Own the Firmwide IFRS - 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) policy & provide Central Oversight by monitoring compliance with its key requirements.
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to development of Central IFRS - 9 analytical capabilities, covering 40+ Countries across Citi jurisdictions.
- Lead or support Monthly IFRS - 9 ECL reporting to Legal Entity/Country CRO and Finance; by executing IFRS - 9 models, results consolidation, variance analysis & generate reporting packages.
- Lead or support IFRS - 9 Execution process & data related controls with the aim of enhancing robustness & reliability of IFRS reports for key stakeholders.
- Work closely with Model Developers & Country risk teams to address local regulatory IFRS - 9 requirements (e.g. adhoc sensitivity analysis, testing model features, onboarding Citi Legal entities adopting IFRS - 9 etc.)
- Act as a conduit & build consensus on IFRS - 9 projects, by interacting with internal stakeholders from Risk, Finance, Technology, Modelling teams and Country Management.
- Develop, maintain & enhance Citi IFRS - 9 data analytical processes & capabilities.
- Enhance IFRS - 9 ECL analytical capabilities (e.g. Tableau reporting build-out).
- Support Overarching Governance mandate in ensuring compliance with Central IFRS - 9 policy, by supporting preparation of Governance forums materials.
What we’ll need from you:
- Proficiency in Python is essential . SQL & Tableau is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with ability to articulate complex concepts across diverse stakeholders is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or another field with analytical focus (Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, etc.) is required.
- Experience in quantitative analysis or modelling preferably.
- Good knowledge of Wholesale ECL loss models & credit risk measures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret & address business data requests and provide data driven conclusions.
- Ability to develop and effectively communicate practical solutions aligned with key internal priorities and external stakeholder expectations.
- Strong work ethic & stakeholder management skills.
