Culture & People
Create an effective Funds Accounting Operations management committee and ensure Operations priorities are appropriately aligned across products, and with the business and client strategy.
Coordinate talent processes for the Funds Accounting Operations team consistently:
Engage in senior Operations hiring, talent & promotion decisions in the function, cluster, and CSC.
Work with Ops leads in function to identify mobility opportunities.
Oversee consistent implementation of People strategy initiatives and VOE (Voice of Employee) actions within the Funds Accounting and Fund Services NAM Operations teams in alignment with broader SSO initiatives.
Deliver consistent communications of Business and Operations priorities– Townhalls, Ask me Anything, Newsletters
Ensure functional consistency across CSC sites for staff surveys and VOE action plans.
Oversight of the resources based across the products, CSC, Clusters, and countries, ensuring alignment and coordination across the functional Operations teams in terms of client coordination, strategy, operations risk, and employee engagement.
Be the product SSO key contributor to the global resources & location strategy and ensure the consistent execution.
Clients & Competitive Advantage
Ensure Operations priorities in the function is fully aligned with Business strategies.
Engage in strategic client relationships as appropriate in collaboration with the Business and Ops Functional leads.
Develop metrics and measurement to assess competitive benchmarks for the products, relative to industry peers.
Drive the client agenda with the global functional operations teams, assisting both navigating the global organization as well as providing product specific context.
Costs
Oversee the Funds Accounting and NAM Fund Services Ops expense base in collaboration with Global Functional leads
Proactively identify opportunities for cost reduction & scalable productivity and risk reduction:
Share best practice & knowledge across individual product areas
Identify new synergies across products and locations.
Drive location / site strategy for the team in alignment with Target Operating Model
Align annual Ops budget & investment priorities for the function with Business Heads, Service and Sales covering:
Funds Accounting
NAM Middle Office
NAM ETF Operations
Deliver consistent reporting and analysis of product and sub functional Ops expenses & FTE, including:
Produce full year outlook, and manage monthly variances
Track & explain monthly variances to plan
Escalate material expense or FTE variances in the function.
Controls
Ensure an effective control environment is in place for the Funds Accounting Operations organisation:
Maintain register of key Operations risks, and ensure effective mitigation plans are in place
Run regular control forums documented with functional and cluster leads.
Prioritize, escalate with functional, cluster and global leads.
Actively manage CAPs, internal Audits, MCA reviews and regulatory inspections
Drive all Action plan closure to agreed SLA 30 days prior to close.
Represent Client Services SS Operations risk profile with appropriate internal & external stakeholders, including Audit, Compliance, Regulators
Proactively identify and escalate material risk issues and near misses within the function to Business stakeholders and relevant cluster Operations management.
Identify opportunities to share best-practice across products
Ensure Continuity of Business plans are aligned and consistently implemented globally.
Work in collaboration with Operations Risk and Control and In Business Risk Control to ensure ongoing compliance with Funds and Middle Office rules and regulations, including governance of key regulatory projects.
Lead role in engagement with local and global regulators to ensure compliance with fieldwork, reviews and associated data gathering requirements.
