What You Will Do
- Collaborate with motion designers, illustrators, and brand/system designers to evolve Uber’s expression libraries.
- Design and craft scalable visual assets, setting a high bar for quality and consistency across the app.
- Experiment with new styles, techniques, and mediums (including motion and 3D) to push Uber’s visual language forward.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on visual direction and execution.
- Contribute to defining Uber’s design identity, acting as a tastemaker and raising the bar for visual excellence.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in graphic design with a focus on branding or systems design.
- Proficiency in creating high-quality visual assets, with a strong eye for typography, layout, and color.
- Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong illustration skills with a demonstrated ability to create cohesive and scalable artwork.
- Experience in motion design or 3D design is a bonus.
- Familiarity with building and evolving component-based design systems.
- An ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment and a passion for innovation in design.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$146,000 per year - USD$162,000 per year.
