Description:
• Develops solution architectures and resolves complex issues in a variety of projects through the implementation of requirements analysis, expertise support, and project engagements.
• Designs solution architectures for large or complex programs, including system and application designs, software and technical architecture, in accordance with strategies and objectives.
• Provides expertise for the solution architecture team and other IT staff on a variety of issues in software designs, system architecture and solution-oriented technologies.
• Develops solutions that account for non-functional requirements (architectural quality attributes) and apply appropriate architectural tactics to fulfil them.
• Communicates with clients and analyses business requirements and processes; makes recommendations and leads in shaping future plans in solution architecture.
• Oversees solution architecture project outcomes, including hardware and software design; ensures that each project phase meets overall requirements.
• Explores new and emerging technologies and develops strategic viewpoints on how they could be leveraged to enable business outcomes, drive transformation, or understand their potential disruptions. Evaluate, recommend, and apply new information technologies for existing, new, and emerging business environments and operating models.
• Practices decision making and critical thinking – Understands the issues related to the decision-making process; reaches productive decisions by analyzing situations fully and accurately.
• Practices Enterprise Systems thinking & possesses a broad understanding of technologies.
• Analyzes and constructs domain-wide solution perspectives for senior and executive level stakeholders, as a basis for, or in response to, strategic planning.
• Serves as technical consultants to engineering teams regarding applications, middleware, events, APIs, database, user experience, mobile, web, etc.
• Develops architectures for client and employee facing technologies.• Demonstrate continual learning, strategic thinking, and application of emerging trends in business and technology domains.
• Possess professional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe, Azure/AWS fundamentals)

Job Description
  • Leads a team to design and deliver solution architecture strategy through industry expertise and best practices. Oversees the implementation of solutions with technical analysis, associated risks, budgetary, regulatory and other requirements in mind.
  • Manages the research, strategic development, and implementation of solution and system architecture. Leads a team in supporting large or complex programs, including system and application designs, software and technical architecture, in accordance with strategies and objectives.
  • Contributes to strategy development for solution architecture and creates a vision that aligns with LOB strategies, requirements, processes and needs.
  • Manages relationships to accurately assess specific LOB needs, business requirements, and design effective solutions.
  • Oversees project implementation and communicates architectural decisions to LOB and Technology leaders.

Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role. Listed below are skills, competencies, work experience, education, and requiredneeded to be successful in this position.

Effectiveness Measurement, Industry Knowledge, Platform Architecture, Problem Solving, Service Oriented Architecture Technologies, Systems Software Infrastructure, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required.
