Your Role and Responsibilities
From a Safety point of view this position is responsible for supporting site business units and stakeholders with meeting legal/regulatory requirements as well as identifying/designing controls for operational health and safety risks, and minimizing long-term legal safety liabilities for the corporation.
In addition, this position will coordinate required building inspections / sign-off, space layout reviews, safety committee coordination, safety education, emergency response management and accident/near miss investigation and follow-up.
Responsible for any portfolio array activities including:
- Supervision and coordinating work of contractors.
- Investigating availability and suitability of options for new/existing premises
- Cost Survey for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
- Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives
- Managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities;
- Liaising with administrations, suppliers, Ministeries…
- Strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings main installation and premises likely areas of responsibility include:
- Knowledge of the installations and the maintenance plans, including Key Control Points and SLAs of the Maintenance Contract
- Verification of the integrity and coherent of the information delivered by FM
- Procurement and contract management
- Health and safety
- Utilities
- Reporting and Management process to emphasize on control and management, resolution and root cause.
- Control on Legal retention documentation
- Control of financial activities (raise PO, review invoices….) Identify and control GMP expense identifying gaps due to variable activities
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Education Level:Industrial Engineer/Construction Engineer/ Technical Engineer
- Health and Safety qualification
- English: High
- Technical Professional Expertise: At least 10 years experience in building main installations,.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance. Control of small projects . Experience with budget management with financial objectives and team management and coordination.
- Experience in relationship management with clients and providers.
- Familiarity with Project Management tools and/or software packages and Design
- Knowledge of Technical applicable standards, mandatory Legislation and procedures
- Demonstrated background in the following areas:
- Management of facilities services provider ensuring continuity of service, compliance with the contracted agreements and the successful delivery of both user and client funded projectsfocus on using best business practice to improve efficiency, by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.
