Develop and validate detailed commissioning plans and procedures, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC, NETA/NICET testing standards, and Tesla’s electrical codes and specifications
Oversee construction activities to ensure electrical systems are prepared for commissioning tasks
Lead the equipment handover process, resolving any action items to ensure smooth asset transfer to Tesla Facilities
Collaborate with the Tesla Quality Assurance team to verify the quality of electrical contractor installations
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in ensuring a seamless transition to Manufacturing, Operations, and Facilities
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience with a strong background in relay testing and troubleshooting
Strong proficiency in NFPA 70E electrical codes and standards, as well as NEC and NETA/NICET testing standards
Extensive field experience with switchgear, panel boards, and other industrial electrical installations
Well-versed in developing electrical commissioning procedures and troubleshooting 480V and 4160V systems
Strong understanding of electrical commissioning and completion programs such as CxAlloy, WinPCS, or other web-based platforms
Electrical Design Engineering experience is a plus, but not required
