What You'll Do:- Ensure strict adherence to Indonesian and global customs laws and regulations while driving customer satisfaction and Cisco profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business partners, and service providers to facilitate seamless customs clearance processes.
- Stay updated with legal and regulatory developments and communicate new requirements, provide strategic analysis and solutions as a business partner.
- Liaise with Cisco Governmental Affairs, Cisco Legal Counsel, Customs, other government authorities, and industry associations to develop policies that support the international transfer of tangible and intangible products.
- Manage reporting and submissions to Government authorities.
- Obtain and oversee Import Licenses and Permits with Government authorities.
- Perform data mining, reporting, research, and analysis for various initiatives and new business models.
- Engage with Customs Authority, Brokers, External Consultants, and Legal Counsel to resolve customs-related issues.
- Represent Cisco in external forums as needed.
- Drive Cisco’s global customs policies through audits and training.
- Participate in Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, and other country-specific projects.
Who You Are:- You hold a BA/MBA/Legal degree with at least 7-8 years of experience in a high-tech, fast-paced environment, preferably in an MNC.
- You have a track record of managing customs clearances for technology goods in Indonesia and the APAC region.
- You possess an advanced understanding of WTO, WCO agreements, country of origin rules, HTS classification, and duty-saving schemes such as FTAs.
- You are experienced in handling internal and external customs audits, including addressing challenges and filing appeals.
- You have a solid grasp of national and international trade regulations and know how to align the customs/trade function with business goals.
- You are familiar with basic transfer pricing and VAT rules.
- You are an excellent communicator with strong presentation and teamwork skills.
- Your expertise in Microsoft Office, statistical analysis, and financial modeling is advanced.
- You exhibit superior project management abilities, working effectively with diverse cross-functional teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
- You are fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
