Funds Lawyer – Financial Services Law

As a Funds Lawyer in our Financial Services Law team, you’ll will play a crucial role helping us solve our client’s legal problems and build our rapidly growing female-led practice. Your expertise will be key in providing innovative solutions and fostering a supportive environment where diverse prospectives are valued.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Working with other EY service lines (such as consulting and strategy and transactions) to deliver integrated cross- service line solutions and commercially sound legal advice to Australian superannuation funds, Australian and global banks and other financial services clients.
  • Assisting with raising our team’s and lawyers’ profile in the market through business development and marketing initiatives such industry and client presentations, tenders and campaigns.
  • High-quality training, supervision and mentoring from senior lawyers and partners to help you develop your legal skills and commercial acumen within a positive and supportive environment.

What we’re looking for

  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience in legal practice.
  • Experience in Australian financial services sector, corporate law and/or superannuation law is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with privacy law and/or anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations.
  • Genuine interest in financial services industry and funds management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high-quality writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide sound legal advice.
  • A proactive learner with a collaborative spirit, eager to contribute to a dynamic team environment.
