We're seeking a highly motivated engineer with a passion for elegant design and deep electrical system architecture expertise to shape the hardware for our groundbreaking devices. You’ll contribute innovative solutions from product concept to production, leveraging your problem-solving and hands-on hardware development skills.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate cutting-edge hardware systems for future Apple products. You will own critical aspects of the electrical architecture and implementation—ranging from schematic design and layout to bring-up, debug, and validation. Success in this role requires not just deep technical expertise, but also strong product intuition and a systems-level mindset. We’re looking for someone who can dive into the details, yet consistently elevate conversations to ensure alignment with user experience and product vision.
- BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering
- 8+ years of hands-on experience shepherding system designs from concept to mass production, proactively anticipating and addressing potential roadblocks
- Expertise in hardware design for embedded applications from SOC/MCU integration, power architecture (DC-DC, battery), and sensor definition / integration
- Understanding of compute architecture and peripheral IO functions (PCIe, USB, I2C, SPI, UART, SWD)
- Working knowledge of PCB/flex layout for optimizing for high speed SI and PDN
- Demonstrated ability to effectively bring-up, debug, and validate mixed-signal designs
- Understanding of imaging systems and image processing for ML applications
- Expertise in emerging sensing technologies and sensor design highly preferred
- Ability to take a methodical and insightful approach to data analysis
- Passion for continuous learning and exploring new technologies is highly valued
