The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Manager within Corporate Development, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Supporting all aspects of mergers & acquisitions across the enterprise with a focus on corporate portfolio management projects focused on value creation and growth
  • Assist in developing a robust pipeline of acquisition and divestment opportunities
  • Support deal execution including all aspects of due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation
  • Collaborate with internal functions and business teams before, during, and after M&A processes
  • Prepare M&A-related presentations for the Board of Directors, Executives, and other business leaders

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of mergers & acquisitions experience within corporate development, investment banking or other project management-related setting
  • Strong MS PowerPoint and Excel capabilities

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Eight to ten (8 – 10) years of experience in mergers & acquisitions, investment banking or corporate development roles
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to digest and synthesize large amounts of data and information into executive-level reports and documents for Board of Directors, executive groups, and other senior leaders
  • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities in a constantly changing environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to understand, design, and translate business requirements into actionable solutions with an emphasis on execution and results
