We are looking for a motivated Systems Development Engineer who has worked extensively in Systems, Security and Data Security/Management. For this position, we require a strong coding skill set, detailed knowledge of software development best practices, and architecture and design. You’ll play a key role in architecting, designing, supporting services on AWS-based infrastructure. You’ll use and touch a wide range of technologies and systems, including products that we’ve built from the ground up and commercial products. You’ll help junior engineers develop their skills, and continue to raise the bar building for the future of Amazon. You must have a bias towards automation and track record of creating automated solutions, have experience operating distributed systems and diagnosing and resolving complex problems, and pay attention to detail and solve problems at their root.Key job responsibilities
4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
6+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in productionExperience processes/technologies to establish rules to protect data moving across the enterprise.

- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

- Experience with distributed systems at scale
