Job summary:
As a Vice President in the M&A Investment Banking team at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a critical role in managing and executing complex M&A transactions. You will work closely with senior bankers and clients to provide strategic advice and deliver tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. This position requires strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of the M&A landscape.
Job Responsibilities:
- Project execution leadership and M&A process management, including overall coordination, collaterals, buyer outreach, due diligence, transaction terms negotiation, structuring, and closing activities
- Responsible for the origination and execution of M&A transactions, in partnership with industry and client bankers
- Collaborate with teams across geographies, sectors, functions and other specialist areas to deliver seamless execution of transactions
- Management of engagement processes and liaising with internal support functions (legal, business managers, compliance, conflicts etc.)
- Partnership with equity, debt and markets groups covering the region
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to provide informed advice to clients
- Recruitment, mentoring and training analysts in Investment Banking
Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on M&A transactions
- Post-Graduate from a reputed MBA school or a qualified CA / Economics graduate with relevant experience
- Impeccable project management and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, advisors, colleagues and key stakeholders
- Good understanding of the M&A and capital markets transaction cycle and processes involved as well as the regulatory landscape
- Strong grasp over corporate finance fundamentals along with financial modeling, problem solving and analytical skills
- Self-starter with the ability to confidently be the point person on a deal for clients, interacting and advising them on M&A process matters
- Self-directed, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
