The Deputy Director for Support Services is responsible for managing and overseeing project controls for engineering, construction, and all related cost projects within a major capital improvement program. This role requires specific experience in cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, change management, and cost analysis. In addition, the candidate should have experience in project controls and commercial operations, with a strong emphasis on project controls and financial issues. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential, as is a strong working knowledge of multiple project delivery methods, such as construction management at risk, design-build, indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity, and traditional design-bid-build. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and an initiator, as demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities. Furthermore, they should be capable of managing a team to resolve project issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

- A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or Engineering
- Certified Project Director (CPD)
- ORACLE certification
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in project delivery, with a focus on cost engineering functions, cost estimating, cost control, change management, and cost analysis.
