• Contributes and may set the overall direction and goals of the asset management group.
• Manages a team of asset professionals, including managers, who oversee portfolios and/or customer request of high complexity.
• Responsible for managing all aspects of team’s work product and/or approving borrower requests in various forms. Manages internal and external risk associated with these activities.
• Motivates and develops staff which includes, acquiring top talent and managing performance-based issues.
• Effectively plans, organizes, directs, analyzes, and evaluates staff and processes. Connects strategy to day-to-day activities and updates the team on a regular basis.
• Reviews and approves strategies submitted by the team. Provides guidance and may offer alternative strategies.
• Solicits and reviews recommendations for changes in process(es) and any change(s) in written procedures.
• Manages internal and external risk by overseeing team activities, which may include reviewing requests and/or assessments. Ensures compliance with respective guidelines to reduce risks and losses.
• Builds relationships across PNC and the broader industry.
• Regularly engages in communication with internal and external parties which may include, high touch customers and their representatives, outside counsel, rating agencies, special servicers, and investors.
• Represents the business unit in business segment and senior leadership meetings.
• Provides coaching and leadership to develop team members, focusing on specific duties of the asset management group.
• May be responsible or provide direction for assigning work to appropriate staff members.
• Develops and meets key performance objectives.
