Description
It requires deeply understanding not just the engineering complexities of the technology itself, but a broad understanding of the business of app development, and what motivates app developers to adopt a new technology. Further, as the internal advocate for the program - requires a strong ability to describe technologies to others in easy-to-grasp ways. This role demands confidence and communication skills to foster executive-level debate and decision. Collaboration skills are also fundamental, with an appreciation of it means to be on both sides of a business relationship, making sure that everybody wins. This candidate will push at the edges of what might feel comfortable — while always advocating for the best outcome for our users, not necessarily the simplest or most straight-forward implementation.Goals for the role include but are not limited to1. Defining the right approach to bring this new technology to our third party ecosystem2. Gaining cross-Apple alignment on the best approach to bring this technology to life3. Working closely with technical teams to ruthlessly prioritize & focus implementation
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years industry experience building Apps, APIs or SDKs in an engineering or product management role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization
- Experience leading cross-functional projects including technical leads, software developers, designers, support engineers and operations teams
- Proven track record working on integration points between systems, like APIs or SDKs
- Excellent management skills including project structuring and directing multiple work streams interdependently
- High EQ, ability to empathize with others and put themselves in their shoes. Success for everyone is valued
- Strong understanding of the business of app development, from the small indie developer to the biggest most popular apps on the
- Self-motivated and dedicated, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking, and exceptional attention to detail
- Deep dedication to integrity, ability to work with ambiguity and manage conflict
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $160,700 and $282,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
