Description
- Define overall optical and module architecture and requirements, and drive rigorous validation plan to meet display performance target- Drive issue failure analysis and corrective actions, communicate with broader team on pros, cons and risks associated with any proposed solution, drive implementation of the solutions- Investigate new display technologies, perform detail tradeoff studies, and generate new approaches to further enhance display performance- Proactive problem-solving across fab to module design/process technical domains- International travel is required for supplier collaboration
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in display hardware development, validation or research
  • Research or industry experience in one of the following fields: optics, physics, electrical engineering, Optical components (such as lens, film, thin film coating etc), image processing, machine learning, or computer science
  • Research or industry experience in collaborating with multi-functional teams or suppliers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency of using statistic tools (JMP etc) and programming languages (MATLAB, Mathematica etc) and optical simulators (LightTools etc) to tackle practical engineering problems
  • Hands-on experience in high volume mass production consumer electronics, display related systems
  • Strong analytical & critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Concise & effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
