Citibank Europe Plc (CEP) Regulatory Reporting Lead is a senior management level position in the Controllers organisation. The position will have a high level of visibility within the organisation with opportunities to work directly with Management and will also interact closely with Risk, Treasury, Financial Reporting and Capital Planning. Core responsibilities include managing timely, complete and accurate filing of quarterly, semi-annual and annual Regulatory Reports required by ECB and CBI including Pillar 3 and COREP. Additionally, the CEP Regulatory Reporting Lead develops reporting and control procedures to accurately prepare information required for management reporting and analysis.

What you’ll do

  • You will provide governance and oversight of CEP reports to regulators (CBI, ECB, JST) based on local regulatory requirements and internal reporting and control guidelines including Prudential, Related Party Lending, STE and Pillar 3.

  • Lead regulatory exams, internal audits and address Regulator’s questions. Maintain effective and professional relationships with regulators, internal and external auditors. Address and develop plans to remediate regulatory/auditor review findings.

  • Represent Finance on certain internal governance committees (e.g. Related Party Lending Committee, BCBS Committee).

  • Manage relationships with relevant internal teams including shared service centres and cross functional teams involved in the production of regulatory returns.

  • Represent the firm in dealings with relevant industry associations (BPFI)

  • Manage in-depth analysis of variances, incorporating the understanding of regulatory reporting along with financial analysis, to communicate results to Senior Management.

  • Keep abreast of industry, regulatory, and accounting developments. Apply solid knowledge of Finance/accounting concepts and principles to ensure accurate Regulatory Reporting filings. Review new regulatory reporting requirements, to determine the impact on the Regulatory Report filings.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

What we’ll need from you

  • Experience in Financial Services

  • Strong Risk and Control background with a demonstrable ability to develop and deliver robust control environment.

  • Knowledge of Capital Requirement Regulation, Pillar 3, RWA

  • Sound judgment to weigh issues in a balanced manner and make reasonable decisions.

  • Sense of urgency in implementing processes and controls and evaluating priorities; decisive, action-oriented, and practical.

  • Outstanding presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with different levels of management.

  • Ability to develop effective and productive working relationships with a wide range of groups across Citi as well as external auditors and regulators.

  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines.

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.

  • Technology savvy – Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

This Role is a “Controlled Function” Role as defined by the Central Bank of Ireland Reform Act 2010 and Principal Regulations 2011, and amending Regulations 2014, 2015.
