Citi’s Banking franchise is organized around three lines of business: Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking. The unified Banking and International organization oversees the local delivery of the full firm to clients in each of the 95 markets where Citi has an on-the-ground presence.
Citi Commercial Bank ( CCB ) is a solutions-led business for the demands of mid-sized and emerging corporates.
In this role, you’re expected to:
Works with BDs and product partners to on-board new clients/new subsidiaries and KYC/initial credit set-ups completed
Builds relationships with client network and operational teams, becoming a key contact for internal requests/problem escalation and resolution
Helps clients to access Citi’s global network, locating local coverage and product support across the globe
Engages with product partners and Citi’s global network to identify revenue opportunities and to position certain products with clients
Ensures periodic support discussions are held with clients and are correctly documented.
Generates leads to onboard both borrowing and non-borrowing new clients for the bank.
Actively prospecting both borrowing and non-borrowing names to initially feed the BD team and then onboard independently once seasoned on Citi processes.
Strong relationships with law firms, CA firms and other influencers will be an added advantage.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Analyze market trends and market size by integrating analytical skills and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies.
Partners with Credit Admin team to ensure credit documentation is kept current: FX, derivatives, Loans, LCs and other credit-related documents
Maintain knowledge of industry and competitive landscape.
Partners with Credit Admin team to monitor usage of credit lines, and partnering with Independent Risk during client Annual Reviews
Utilize all possible channels to identify new-to-bank clients with potential to generate business across lending, treasury, capital markets, cash management products.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
4-7 years of relevant experience
Education:
Post Graduate, Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
