Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with multi-network technologies and technical leadership experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and models services for inter-networking and client converged networks.

  • Provides guidance for multiple/converged telecom technologies, contact center, network security, and transmissions.

  • Creates and integrates solutions and services. Guides, directs, or recommends enhancements for system performance, reliability, scalability, and capacity.

  • Leads and develops multi-platform converged enterprise standards.

  • Models and provides solutions targeted to meet existing, enhanced, and new service network platform solutions for business and infrastructure services.

  • Subject matter expert in multi-network technologies.

  • Leads advanced knowledge sharing and recommendations for converged network: voice, data, security, data transmission systems, equipment capabilities, products, services, features and configurations. Develops new solutions and integrated service offerings to meet large-scale or enterprise projects or service requirements.

  • Provides senior technical leadership, representing network organization in cross-functional/project teams.

  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and recommends improvement for systems, network, and security problems at an advanced level across multiple/converged technology solutions, services, and platforms.

  • Authors and provides input for multiple and converged systems and services, system documentation, procedures, and processes.

  • Coordinates the maintenance and modification of systems. For multiple and converged systems and services will lead or provide guidance for advanced technical support.

  • Develops and performs capacity and resource planning to optimize and expand existing network systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 5 years experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.

  • At least 5 years experience with managing day-to-day delivery of satisfactory network services to clients.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Extensive experience inNetwork operations, Contingency and disaster recovery, Product and vendor evaluation

  • Expert in Technical troubleshooting, Network and internet security, Wide area networks (WAN), Configuration management, Data networks and Voice networks

  • Very knowledgeable in System software infrastructure, Network architecture, IT standards, procedures, policy, Hardware infrastructure

Technical Skills/Experience in :

  • Palo Alto Firewalls (Panorama, virtual firewalls, virtual Systems)

  • Checkpoint Firewalls (VSX, Chassis, Maestro)

  • Automation skills in Gitlab, Terraform, Ansible, and Python

  • High motivation and potential

  • Infoblox

  • F5 LTM and GTM

**The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $102,340.00 - $120,400.00 - $132,440.00 Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.
