About the role:

Electrical & Mechanical Build Technician supports equipment build projects for medical device manufacturing. The Technician will assemble various types of custom manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tooling from mechanical and electrical drawings. Test, debug, and modify equipment as-needed to meet specifications. This includes electrical control panel wiring, motors, drive systems, mechanical enclosures, and PLC installations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Wire electrical panels, physical mounting of devices, and modify existing equipment.
  • Participate in equipment design reviews and provide design recommendations.
  • Communicate and document design feedback during machine assembly.
  • Assist with problem solving and collaborate with the engineering team.
  • Debug assembled and existing equipment, troubleshoot machine issues to a device/component level.
  • Estimate equipment assembly time, and measure schedule adherence.
  • Track and charge labor hours, parts, and supplies to individual projects.
  • Assist and mentor peers on technical aspects, including problem solving.

Required qualifications:

  • AA degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3+ years’ experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2-year degree in Electronics or Automated Systems Technology.
  • 7+ years’ hands-on experience with equipment build projects.
  • Full understanding of machine design and assembly process.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment build projects.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to identify and acquire necessary supplies, materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Knowledge and experience with PLC, HMI, and motion control.
  • Medical device manufacturing environment experience is a plus.
  • Self-directed; ability to manage machine assembly process with minimal supervision.

Maximum Salary: $ 91416

Compensation fornon-exempt (hourly), non-sales rolesmay also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
