Description
This is a high visibility role where you will drive firmware quality by creating and running tests to ensure the customer experience with Apple products. Our team ensures that the different functional parts of the system are fully tested and quality is built in. You will identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs in automated, structured and open styles of testing.You will be responsible for verifying key features of one or more products and/or software updates, driving quality within your assigned areas. Your expertise and experience will allow you to analyze field issues and determine gaps in test coverage. In this role, you'll identify and drive key focus areas cross-functionally and collect key performance metrics as part of this effort which will be presented regularly to the executive team.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in an Engineering field
- 3+ years of QA/QE working experience with firmware and/or consumer electronics
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. or Masters in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Demonstrates QA skills with at least 2 complete consumer electronics product cycles, from inception to first customer shipment
- Strong advocate for quality, with good understanding of SQA methodologies & practices
- Experience / familiarity with hardware and software interaction for embedded systems
- Working knowledge of Bluetooth protocols and/or audio digital signal processing
- Strong communication skills
- Self directed, analytical and work well in a large cross-functional environment
- Ability to program or script in Python or other significant programming languages. (C++, Objective C, Ruby, JavaScript, etc.)
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
