TTT - SAP Funtional- Consultant

Ever-increasing regulations require tax departments to gather, organize and analyse more data than ever before. Often the data necessary to satisfy these ever-increasing and complex regulations must be collected from a variety of systems and departments throughout an organization. Effectively and efficiently handling the variety and volume of data is often extremely challenging and time consuming for a company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead functional requirement workshops/meetings with Client teams and create detailed business requirement specification
  2. Analyse data and documents to identify insights on current client state - processes, functions, operational practices
  3. Create and document business process models to illustrate current and future state processes using various modelling tools
  4. Ability to work in an iterative approach with client/onsite teams to build functional solutions through solution wireframes
  5. Ability to create future state financial data models identifying relevant data dimensions and attributes that would become the backbone of future solution
  6. Document key design decisions and criterions from a future system angle prior to the functional specification documentations
  7. Convert the business requirement specification to detailed functional solutions/specifications for design and development
  8. Work with offshore design/development team to convert the functional solutions to technical solutions
  9. Work as a bridge between client business team and the technical team during the build phase providing requirements debriefs/walk throughs to build the new system is built to specifications.
  10. Participate in work products review to validate the work product against the baselined requirements
  11. Demonstrate work products to client/onsite in sprint reviews and document feedback
  12. Work with the QA team to help them understand requirements and review test cases.
  13. Create functional test cases for UAT testing.
  14. Create User Manuals, Business User Training Decks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s for the solution transition and adoption.
  15. Deliver end user training and ensures a smooth transition to the client.
  16. Ability to work under agile framework adhering to agile ceremonies and methodologies
  17. Create status reports and provide status updates to client against work scope.
  18. Ability to learn new work domains as demanded by the project requirements
  19. Ability to identify opportunities for business process improvement and optimization through automation

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. CA/CMA with 4 to 8 years
  2. Minimum 3 to 4 full cycle implementation experience for financial transformation projects preferably on tax/accounting side.
  3. Strong functional knowledge and work experience with ERP/EPM tools preferably SAP.

Functional and Technical skillsets:

  1. Financial Planning, Analysis modelling (GL, TB, Financial statements)
  2. Tax domain knowledge on areas like International Tax and transactions, Transfer pricing, Legal Entity Forecasting, Financial Planning and Analysis (FPnA), Indirect tax etc
  3. ERP / SAP foundational knowledge
  4. Experience in ERP implementation is preferred.
  5. Experience with Business intelligence tools would have additional preference.

  • Oral Communication-Speak efficiently in meetings with clarity and confidence communicating the required information to stakeholders
  • Written communication skills -Producing decks, documents, diagrams, and emails that meets project requirements
