Your key responsibilities
- Undertake valuations of businesses and intangible assets for various purposes, including management planning, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax, financial reporting, and disputes.
- Take ownership of project delivery within each team, managing and preparing valuation reports and detailed financial modelling and analysis.
- Think critically, identify issues, and propose strategies related to the advice being provided.
- Build strong working relationships with your clients, understand their issues, anticipate future opportunities, and develop solutions to meet their needs.
Skills and attributes for success
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Valuation : Strong numerical and analytical skills, including intermediate to advanced level of modelling skills.
- Education : A degree in finance, economics, accounting, business or other relevant field, with demonstrated aptitude in valuation analysis. Possessing a CA, CFA or equivalent credential.
- Experience : Minimum of 7 years of relevant valuation experience ideally within the professional services or financial services environment. Experience utilising various valuation techniques and methodologies (market comparables, discounted cash flow, etc.) for different purposes.
