Base Pay Range: $95,100.00 - $161,700.00 Annually Primary Location:

The Field Applications Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing product applications for existing and pre-release products to provide solve high-value customer problems.

• Employee will work directly with the customer, and KLA local/product division Teams by coordinating and executing project based activities
• Responsible for providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA products in customer fabrication facilities.
• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of various factors
• Works closely with engineering teams to improve the products and implement plans.
• Collaborates with software and systems engineering resolve hardware and software problems.
• Assists sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications

• Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications include:

• MS with 2 yr. experience or PhD.
• Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Optics, Material Science or a related field and strong technical background.
• Additional background in optics, spectroscopy, image processing, signal analysis, control, EM modeling, statistical analysis.
• Industry experience in wafer inspection tools & technology
• Experience in the semiconductor fabrication industry, including semiconductor process knowledge
• Dedication to understanding and solving critical customer problems
• Strong analytical problem solving skills including knowledge of statistics, statistical analysis Responsibilities
• Candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Well organized and professional with strong project management skills - including a proven record of managing numerous projects at once
• Solid understanding of computer operating systems, networks, and analysis tools

Master's Level Degree or work experience of 2 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 3 years
