Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience.
• People management experience.
• Strong architecture skills in distributed systems and a great appetite for learning the foundational blocks of the Azure platform with detail- and results-oriented, with demonstrated experience managing complex design and delivery of cloud services.

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• In depth knowledge of Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Experience architecting or implementing mission critical, distributed systems.
• Experience recruiting and retaining world-class engineering talent.

• Build, train, and lead a team of technical program managers focused on defining and building foundational services and automation for the Azure Platform.
• Partner with software engineers to deliver core capabilities that enable Azure Platform to be best of class in data center build out efficiency and data governance.
• Work in a fast-paced technical environment with engineering leaders across Microsoft.
• Provide hands-on program management during various phases of our projects including day-to-day contributions as part of agile development practices.
• Define and own key metrics and key quality and performance indicators.
