Key Responsibilities

Our approach to organizational design helps guide our clients from assessment through to implementation. You’ll lead large-scale organizational design projects and advise stakeholders while building relationships with colleagues and clients. You’ll also work collaboratively to deliver innovative and insightful solutions for a range of challenges, from how to best structure teams to deliver on the organization’s strategy to how the organization’s structure can allow for more agile ways of working.

Skills and Attributes for success

Some key capabilities you should be prepared to bring to client facing and internal initiative teams include:

  • You’ll be expected to lead project workstreams, from planning through implementation – including managing project resources and budgets effectively, and identify and effectively manage and mitigate any risks and issues
  • Understanding of using organizational design, strategic workforce planning and change management as integral components of transformational initiatives focused on accelerating business performance. Understanding of the opportunities and risks associated with acquisitions, divestures, mergers and the organizational design implications
  • Demonstrate technical competence in our key capabilities and take a practical/business driven approach to solving complex client challenges
  • Contribute to generate profitable revenue by identifying additional engagement opportunities and building lasting relationships with clients
  • Influence and persuade clients and stakeholders to gain support for any major change initiatives and/or decisions
  • Encourage and facilitate collaboration amongst team members, and promote an inclusive working environment
  • Understanding of human resources opportunities, challenges and issues in at least one of the sectors we serve (e.g., Oil & Gas, Health, Telecommunications, Power & Utilities, Insurance, Media & Entertainment)
  • Contribute to business development and client pursuit activities by preparing proposals and delivering presentations for potential clients
  • Passionate about advancing the PAS practice by leading the development of thought leadership and EY approaches, tools and methodologies in organization design
  • Coach and develop teams and colleagues, and act as a visible role model for our people

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Relevant professional service experience, with a global management consultancy firm, or niche consultancy in which you gained exposure to a large-scale project(s)
  • Around 6-9 years of prior experience inOperating Model Development,Organizational Structure and Design, Strategic Workforce Planning, Capability Mapping, Organizational Assessment, and Organizational Governance , ,with success in current job applying one or more of these capabilities
  • Experience of leading org. design engagements in one or more of the following functional domains – supply chain, IT, finance, customer, sales & marketing. Should have worked in large multi-disciplinary teams as part of functional and enterprise-wide transformation engagements
  • Proven track record in managing and analysing large datasets and using analytics in project execution. Deep expertise in working with and engaging clients in discussions around the use of digital assets in the delivery of org. design projects
  • Have a primary degree and relevant post-graduate qualification
  • Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $124,700 to $228,800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $149,700 to $260,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
